SBCA ANNUAL MEETING AND SOCIAL, SUNDAY, MARCH 27TH, 3-5 PM, AT LAZY OAKS BEER GARDEN, 10158 LONG POINT RD. If you have not paid 2022 dues yet, we will be accepting payment at the event -- a mere $20 per year! All members will receive a ballot to vote on the 2022 Board of Director positions. Also, each resident will receive two drink tickets for a beverage of their choice. And, when you sign in, you will become eligible for our raffle drawings. We will be giving away two $25 HEB gift cards. Lazy Oaks is a family friendly neighborhood gathering place. A lovely outdoor space with a playground for kids. Good food, too!
SBCA ADOPTED A PARK ON THE NORTH END OF OAK TREE, CLOSE TO LONG POINT, AT 1441 OAK TREE. IT IS A REALLY BEAUTIFUL TRIANGULAR PATCH OF GRASS WITH A COUPLE OF SPECTACULAR TREES. VOLUNTEERS WORK ON THE SECOND TUESDAY AND THE FOURTH SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH. WE'RE MEETING AT 9 AM DURING THE COOLER HOURS AND WORK ONE TO TWO HOURS DEPENDING ON WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. IT ISN'T DIFFICULT WORK AND EVERYONE CAN JUST DO WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING. THE MAIN THING IS TO BE THERE AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER AND APPRECIATE WHAT CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH A LITTLE BIT OF EFFORT AND THE SUPPORT OF A FEW RESIDENTS.
A major part of park maintenance is to mow regularly. Probably once a month, park volunteers will bring their own equipment and will mow and edge. If you are willing to mow & edge as a donation to our park effort, please let me know so we can schedule a date. Another option is to donate a mow by paying your yard man to mow for us or by donating to the SBCA Oak Tree Park Fund and we will get our guy to do it for $60. If you get a better price, let me know!!
WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAYS TO ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY SO IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR AN EVENT OR AN OPEN HOUSE, PLEASE LET US KNOW!!

We are situated north of Interstate 10, west of Blalock, east of Gessner, and south of Long Point. This site was established to be a source of information on our community.
Our convenient location to popular upscale shopping venues such as Memorial City Mall, CityCentre and the Galleria as well as easy access to the Memorial City Medical Center along with award-winning SBISD schools makes our area very desirable for families. The overall Spring Branch area continues to revitalize with the renovation of older homes, construction of newer homes and patio homes, and other residential and commercial development.
This is a civic association (an organization whose official goal is to improve neighborhoods through volunteer work by its members and dues are voluntary), not a Homeowners Association (a corporation that provides services, regulates activities, etc. and dues are mandatory). Our elected volunteer Board Members carefully study, discuss, and take appropriate action of issues brought to our attention involving our community and within our power to keep our neighborhood great. However, we cannot do this alone. SBCA needs not only your membership but also your participation in the community.
Please consider joining the Spring Branch Civic Association. Your $20 annual dues help us maintain communication to preserve our community. The membership fees cover the costs of the community newsletter, the SBCA website, an Annual Meeting and social events throughout the year to get to know our neighbors.

Board members attend monthly SBCA board meetings, Super Neighborhood meetings, City Council meetings, TIRZ meetings and other community events as well as report deed restrictions and city ordinance violations -- all on a volunteer basis. You do not need to be a board member to report violations, attend meetings, and be involved. We encourage all residents to become involved by doing any or all of the following:
